The Geriatrics Interest Group at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine is sponsoring the Reflections of Aging Photo Contest. The purpose of the photo contest is to capture the character and experience of older adults and provide the images that challenge stereotypes of the elderly.
Awards
First Prize: $100 gift certificate
Second Prize: $75 gift certificate
Third Prize: $50 gift certificate
CONTEST RULES:
Contest is open to amateur and professional photographers residing in Missouri.
Photographers must attach a completed entry form including photographer information (part 1) and subject information & authorization (part 2) to their submission. Contact Peggy Gray to receive form.
Photo entries must include at least one person age 65 or older.
Deadline: All entries must be received by April 13, 2007 and must be the original work of the person submitting it. A person may submit no more than two entries.
Format: Prints must be at least 5” x 7” or digital. Mail each entry with a completed entry form in protective packaging.
Late or damaged entries will not be considered.
Photos will not be returned.
The University of Missouri-Columbia and University of Missouri Health Care reserve the right to display submitted photos for purposes related to their publicity or teaching programs. The University of Missouri will credit photos.
A show including all photos of considerable merit will be held with winners and honorable mentions recognized.

A panel of judges selected by the Geriatrics Interest Group faculty advisors will determine the winners.
