Today's pediatricians fill more roles than ever before. Preparing residents for a rewarding career that has personal and professional balance is fundamental to the philosophy of the Child Health Department, located in an ideal community setting. Our diverse faculty of generalists, world-renowned subspecialists and an exceptional team of pediatric surgeons train residents and medical students in an environment that fosters educational growth. This breadth of training allows graduates to choose from a variety of careers in pediatrics. A team approach is used, partially in a managed-care setting, to care for critically ill patients and provide private practice experience, allowing resident/patient continuity of care. The Department of Child Health invites those who strive for excellence in pediatric training to join this exceptional team.
