Scholarship programs
Overview
- Most scholarships received by medical students are institutionally funded from donations and gifts from alumni and friends of our school.
- Scholarship recipients are selected by the School of Medicine Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee or according to its guidelines. The committee is made up of faculty and staff.
- Most scholarships are need-based and require the submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the School of Medicine Scholarship Application. Both of these forms will be mailed to first-year medical students starting in January.
- Continuing students will be sent a scholarship application and a reminder to file an electronic renewal FAFSA or complete a traditional FAFSA in January also.
