Early decision program

The School of Medicine participates in the AMCAS Early Decision Program.  Applicants file an application to one school before August 1.  The file completion deadline is September 1.  Interviews are conducted in mid-September.  Applicants are guaranteed a decision by October 1.

Candidates may apply to only one school and, if accepted through the Early Decision Program, must attend that school.  Those not accepted through Early Decision may then apply to other schools and Missouri as a regular candidate.  Applicants applying to Mizzou as regular candidates will be re-interviewed during the regular interview season.

The minimum requirements for applying through the Early Decision Program:
  • Be a Missouri resident.
  • Have a 3.75 cumulative GPA.
  • Possess at 30 or better MCAT sum with no score below 9.

Those wishing to apply to MU under the Early Decision Program may verify eligibility requirements by contacting the School of Medicine’s admission office in early summer.
