A total of 7 scholarships will be awarded. Award amounts range from $2,500 to $5,000. Additionally, the high schools that nominated the recipients of the SAVM (pronounced “save ‘em”) scholarships will receive $500 for use in their science departments.
The contest is for high school seniors who are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. College students are not eligible.
Applications must be completed and submitted online and received by mail by April 1. Please inform your teachers, counselors, and principals that both their section of the application (Section 3) and their separate letter of recommendation must be received before the April 1 deadline.

All winners will be notified in writing by the SAVM Scholarship Program by mid-May each year. In addition, winners are announced on this web site.
Must I attend the University of Missouri to be a SAVM Scholar?
No, but you must be eligible to enroll in and attend a 4-year accredited U.S. college or university for the upcoming year with a full course of study.
