J.C. Baker, optician and manager of University Optical
Baker has more than 30 years of experience in the field of opticianry. He brings a level of expertise that has earned him the title of master optician by the American Board of Opticianry. Baker holds certificates from the American Board of Opticianry, Opticians Association of America, National Academy of Opticians (Fellow) and Professional Registered Optician Association of America.

Norman Blakley, certified optician
Blakley has more than 25 years of experience in opticianry and is certified by the American Board of Opticianry. He is a member of the Opticians Association of America and the National Academy of Opticianry.

Tamara Garcia, optician
Garcia has more than 15 years of experience as an optician.

Karen Triplett, optician
Triplett has more than 20 years of experience as an optician.

University of Missouri faculty, staff and immediate family members receive a 25 percent discount on all purchases, including frames, lenses, low vision aids, contact lenses and solutions. Additional discounts do not apply. We are an out-of-network VSP provider.

University Optical hours are:

• Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday - Open until 7:00 p.m.

Location

University Optical is located within the Mason Eye Institute in the main lobby of University Hospital, across from the Medtique gift shop.
