Residency Program Frequently Asked Questions

What is the application deadline?
The deadline for interviews is always the last business day of September. The deadline for 2008 interviews for 2010 positions will be September 30.

When will invitations for interviews be sent?
Letters of invitation for interviews will be sent the third or fourth week of October.

What dates will interviews be held?

  • November 17
  • November 18
  • November 24
  • November 25
Interviewees will arrive at 11:00 a.m. on the day of his/her interview, take a tour of the hospital and department and have lunch before interviews begin at 12:30 a.m. Interviews will occur throughout the afternoon and possibly until 6:00. A hospitality party will be hosted by the current residents in the evening after the interviews.

What documents in addition to the Central Application Service (CAS) application should be sent?
We would appreciate receiving a photograph if you are invited to interview.

What is the minimum USMLE score accepted?
It would be safe to say the competitive score is 200 and above.

Are there special or additional requirements for International Medical Graduate Applicants?
We accept permanent resident status only. We do not accept applications from non-permanent visa holders.
