The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is based at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, the designated cancer center for the state of Missouri. Ellis Fischel Cancer Center offers integrated services that include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, radiology, physical therapy, social work, palliative care and pain control, cancer screening and risk assessment and counseling about genetic testing.

Faculty of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology provide evaluation and comprehensive treatment of:

  • precancerous and cancerous conditions of the vulva, vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries
  • gestational trophoblastic diseases
  • complicated benign gynecologic conditions
  • evaluation and treatment of vulvar dystrophies

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is an active member of the Gynecologic Oncology Group, a clinical trials consortium that operates in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute to make multicenter, collaborative, clinical trials available for patients across the country. This allows our gynecologic oncology patients access to cutting-edge clinical trials, especially when their cancer types are very rare.
