The Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri - Columbia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position for candidates with expertise and research interests in Neurophysiology and/or Neuropharmacology of Sleep Wake mechanisms. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven record of independent basic science research in sleep medicine. This is a joint position in Department of Neurology and Harry S Truman Veterans Administration Memorial Hospital. This candidate is expected to secure research funding (e.g. NIH, NSF) and preferably have done so in the past. The position also involves teaching and education of Medical Students, Residents and Fellows. The University of Missouri - Columbia has a newly-created Life Sciences Center, with robust interdisciplinary research programs.
