Third Year (PGY4) Dermatology Resident Responsibilities:
- Five weeks of call per year
- Provide medical student and resident education (lectures and tests)
- Schedule clinics, slide show, didactics, call and reading assignments (general and dermatopathology)
- Assist the program coordinator with scheduling visiting lectures and educational trips
- Special lectures (nursing, health fairs, skin cancer screening, and television), divided between Second and Third year residents
- Case Conference logbook to be completed during Consult rotation
- Assist First year residents in surgery, when requested
- Pass chief responsibilities to Second year residents after the in-service examination
- Complete two months of Dermatology Surgery/Mohs. The Dermatology Surgery/Mohs resident is required to be available (for post op complications) by pager, 24 hours a day.
- Attend monthly faculty meetings.
- Attend the AAD.
