Dr. Davis' name is synonymous with otolaryngology at MU. He is a key architect of what has recently become MU's Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Davis began leading a tiny team of otolaryngology faculty members and residents at MU in 1981. The group was like a family in those days. They could, and sometimes did, fit into a 1970s station wagon.

William T. Griffin, MD
2005 Citation of Merit Receipient
One of the most respected clinicians and educators to ever serve the MU School of Medicine, is the recipient of our highest honor, the 48th Citation of Merit Award.
A highly decorated graduate of MU's medical school Class of 1959, Dr. Griffin has served the University as a leader in obstetrics and gyneclogy for more than 40 years. He has also dedicated his medical skills to the service of his country and to international humanitarian causes.

Jerome L. Belinson, MD
2004 Citation of Merit Receipient
An international leader in the fight against cervical cancer, Jerome L. Belinson, MD, is the recipient of the 47th Citation of Merit Award.
In 1997 Belinson read an alarming statistic: cervical-cancer death rates in parts of rural China were 20 to 30 times higher than those in the United States. He has been on a crusade ever since. To address the chasm, Belinson established Preventive Oncology International, a research organization that combines humanitarian work with scientific investigation.
